Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter

Great place to stay while visiting the French quarter. Prime location: everything to see and do was in walking distance. The staff was great; they were very friendly and accommodating. Stop by the concierge desk if you want to venture out and tour the city. They will definitely lead you to some great activities! The lobby is a bit small, but it smelled AMAZING! (If they bottled whatever that scent was and sold it, I'd own stock in the company!) The only thing I would really ding them on was the expensive parking rate, the dated decor, and the tiny bathrooms. Otherwise, the experience was good.

My wife and I had a great experience with this hotel. It is conviently located, service was great and room was clean. The only issue that we had is as follows. Let me begin by saying that the food was good. My wife and I were staying at the adjacent Wyndam hotel and received a coupon for $15 off at Mr.Edds Southern Creole Kitchen upon check-in so we decided to give it a shot. The coupon card was included with our key packet. We told our waitress when we were sat that we would be utilizing the coupon. When the check came it showed that a $15 credit however $18% gratuity was added. I found that odd for a party of two. I asked the manager about it and she told me that gratuity is automatically added to a customers check that uses the discount card from the hotel. Considering that neither the Wyndam Hotel nor restaurant inform the customer about this "policy" before hand verbally or in writing I found it to be extremely shady. I told the manager to take off the $15 dollar credit & the 18% auto gratuity. We got our dessert to go, paid the bill, tipped the waitress 35% and left. I understand that NOLA is a known tourist trap. I do not believe that situation is due to a corporate policy (ED has several resturaunts in the French Quarter), but a shifty manager bilking tourists. Maybe dealing with that type of situation is the cost of doing business in New Orleans. Decide for yourself if it is worth it to you. We won't be back.

The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Hot water for my shower. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, especially Avery who assisted me with my luggage to my room. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, another excellent places to eat nearby. I will definitely book this hotel again.

The lobby smells so good. I'm not sure what they are pumping through the ventilation but it smells so nice and welcoming. Hotel is in perfect location for all the action and walking distance to everything you need. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Was very surprised considering the location, you don't hear anything in your room at night. They also give you a water bottle and have a water station with many different options and flavors of sparkling or regular water.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is close to everything in the French Quarter. Bourbon Street is right around the corner. And the RTA bus and trolley system can take you everywhere else you might want to go. The hotel staff is excellent and helpful. The rooms were clean. The only thing we wished our room had was a fridge/microwave for heating up leftovers, but we weren't really on vacation to cook anyway. We are definitely glad we booked this hotel and hope to visit again soon!

Everything about this stay was absolutely stunning, from the moment we arrived to the time we checked out. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest received exceptional service, always greeting us with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. The rooms were spotless, well maintained, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. The amenities and perks were excellent and truly enhanced the overall experience. Every detail felt intentional and guest-focused. This hotel exceeded expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it and look forward to staying here again.

Great hotel with a perfectly central French Quarter location. I called prior to arriving and received fantastic service from concierge Malika. She advised me about various transportation options from the airport, tours that her marketing department offers with discounts, great nearby brunch restaurants like Ruby Slipper, etc. Receiving her excellent tips and excellent New Orleans resources was truly a Godsend. Malika truly enhanced my Mardi Gras trip! Frankly the entire staff was very helpful, professional and friendly from the moment I called in the day prior to arriving. Awesome! The rooms were standard and nothing extraordinary but most importantly very clean. Nobody stays inside in NOLA so having a fancy room really didn't matter lol. It was so convenient and on the side of the building I was on seemed soundproof so the noisy Bourbon and Mardi Gras streets didn't impact my sleep. The hotel is also very secure with 1-2 attentive security guards manning the doors and lobby at night.

The staff were awesome!! Front desk and bell hop were very friendly, lovely concierge, could not have been nicer to us. The room was fine, beds were very comfortable, everything worked fine. The location is really great, right near Canal Street, right inside the French Quarter, on Royal Street, which has beautiful shops (further into the quarter, the shops across from the hotel are hilarious, but certainly not fine, good though for water to bring up to the room, and for souvenirs. Easy walk to the convention center. I’m not a fan of “destination charges”, which you’re obligated to upon check-in, but coffee next door and breakfast at Mr. Ed’s, fantastic. Great staff at the restaurant, too. A good value in the French Quarter. Really pleased and would stay again.
